The upcoming EU Regulation on Packaging and Packging Waste (PPWR) is set to reshape the landscape for the entire packaging value chain. But what does it mean in practice when it comes to responsibilities, material choices, documentation and business decisions?
Packbridge, together with AFRY, invites you to a highly relevant and interactive event where we move from overarching regulations to concrete implications.
🎤 You will gain insights from:
🔹AFRY – will share insights related to PPWR, how different brand owners are preparing for the upcoming regulatory changes and some challenges companies face in meeting their preparations to meet the obligations.
🔹NPA – will present a European perspective on PPWR by presenting a study on design for recycling of plastic packaging and more specifically which material combinations can be considered “safe” based on several leading guidelines (e.g. EN18120, RecyClass, and COTREP).
🔹Avfall Sverige – will share an analysis of the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency’s proposal on hazardous packaging – a topic with significant impact on both producers, municipalities and businesses.
💬 Exchange & dialogue
Much focus will also be given to an interactive workshop which will follow the presentations, where participants from across the value chain will be given the opportunity to explore implications and challenges as well as exchange ideas on possible ways forward together.
👉 This is an event for you who need to:
🔹understand your responsibilities under the new regulation
🔹get more insight for material and design decisions
🔹prepare your organization for upcoming requirements
